A novel route was invented for utilizing thermal energy (at an elevated temperature of 110 ± 2 °C) to synthesize and crosslink gels from resorcinol formaldehyde without using catalysts or buffers. The outcome are identified by various techniques such as Fourier transform infrared, Raman spectroscopy, gravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, nano-scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy surface area porosity analyses. Resorcinol–formaldehyde prepared this approach also carbonized activated study their subsequent carbons. corresponding carbons expose hierarchical pore structures with micro-, meso- macroporous features. average sizes ranged 3.5 62.9 nm 0.9 2.0 nm, respectively. total areas 0.01 176.15 160.93 511.46 m2/g, Moreover, the volumes 0 0.546 0.086 0.366 cm3/g, results refer how could be used in synthesis resorcinol–formaldehyde particular, might other general.
